Questions, answered

I only have the broken part — no CAD file. What now?

You’ll need the part modelled first. Straightforward shapes can be measured with calipers and drawn up quickly by any CAD-literate friend or freelancer; contact us and we’ll point you in the right direction.

Is it legal to reprint a manufacturer’s part?

Printing a replacement part for your own equipment’s repair is generally fine. We won’t reproduce parts that infringe active design rights or safety-critical certified components — if in doubt, ask us.

Will the printed part be as strong as the original?

Often stronger — many original parts are built to a cost. We’ll recommend a material and print orientation based on how the original failed.

Can you print parts that handle heat?

ABS and ASA handle typical appliance and under-bonnet-adjacent temperatures well. For anything hotter, tell us the operating temperature and we’ll give you a straight answer on feasibility.
